Our Terrarium 🌱

Today we made our very own terrarium! 

The plants can grow in here because:

·         * Light can pass through the transparent (clear) walls. The plants need this to make food (photosynthesis).

·         * It is like a small water cycle. The light entering the terrarium means it warms up inside. The moisture from the soil and plants evaporates. This water vapour then makes condensation on the walls. Eventually this runs down the walls and into the soil below like rain!

To make our terrarium first we put stones in the bottom.

Next we added sand.

After that we added charcoal.

Next we added soil.

Then we planted some small plants and lay moss around them.

Next we watered the moss and plants.

Last of all we added some dinosaurs for fun!
